The Heightfield Terrains technology comes with its set of new dedicated nodes and presets, like 9 different Erosion presets and Slope, Convexity, Blur or Terrace nodes.New Layout Nodes also let you design a terrain's "layout" (most prominent features) using hand-drawn elements like Splines, elements from the scene, or simple shapes. This new technology allows you to add terrain effects that were previously impossible to achieve, such as Hydrological & Thermal Simulations!Īnd finally, you can easily set up your graph outputs to drive your material presence, directly from within the Terrain Editor interface. With VUE Esprit 2016, we're introducing a brand new terrain modeling technology, more flexible and a lot more powerful, called "Heightfield Terrains". HeightField Terrain Technology - More flexible and a lot more Powerful! to simulate a terrain erosion over time for instance!Īnd finally, you can easily set up your graph outputs to drive your material presence, directly from within the Terrain Editor interface. Heighfield terrains are manually sculptable and parameters can be animated - e.g. Heightfield Terrains are also significantly faster to render! This will give you more flexibility and add more realism to your terrains. Similar to procedural terrains, Heightfield Terrains are based on a function graph, but baked on a fixed-resolution grid. Easier access and edition of multi-material thanks to sub-menu hierarchy display. The User Interface is now locked when downloading an object or a scene from the extra content. ![]() Improved visibility in viewports thanks to reworked wireframe selection colors."Interactive slider changes" option now also affects the mouse wheel for more dynamic visual display of your modifications in real-time.Simplified "Resample Terrain" replaces "Resize Terrain", to update terrain resolution without changing its size within the scene."Blend Terrain with Image" automatically modifies the Heightfield Terrain function graph (instead of modifying the terrain Heightmap).VUE Esprit 2016 R2 also introduces a list of UX/UI improvements, such as: Rendered VR panoramas are automatically recognized by Facebook, YouTube (and other panoramic compliant platforms) as 360° images or videos. When rendering a VR panorama, VUE Esprit 2016 offers to automatically and perfectly level the camera to avoid unwanted distortion. They are compatible with all of VUE's Render Options, such as High Dynamic Range (HDR) for instance. VUE Esprit 2016 allows you to render 360 degrees panorama, as static images or animations. Import content in all popular 3D formats! With VUE's renowned natural 3D tools and unique render quality, you’ll soon be creating inspiring 3D art in any style. With a clear, uncluttered interface and state of the art features, VUE Esprit 2016 combines sophistication with ease of use. It is focused on intuitive workflow, advanced rendering features and Poser/Daz integration. VUE Esprit 2016 is the leading Digital Nature application with extended import and scenery control features for serious 3D Artists. Just ask if you want to know something more.Enhanced Digital Nature Creation for 3D Artists I hope this clears some more about these renderings. Otherwise, if my goal was to achieve some photorealism i would have chosen indigo as render engine. the night scene is not realistic at all, but looks great to me. What i love of vue d'esprit is that you can create some non-photorealistic atmospeheres: it's more emotional, like in some impressionist pictures. The radiosity engine is killed by hi-poly objects and i don't have all that time to spend to make it perfect - another the sky of the first image is dark because it's a dramatic scene with a rainy dark sky with some light beams that filter through the clouds and hit the building. the only exception are the shrubs, made with sketchup, to reduce further the poly count. in this case, only the building was exported to vue d'esprit, while all trees are native of vue: the foreground shows some single tree objects, while the background is populated by ecosystems (a kind of fake vegetation between 2d and 3d, that saves you a lot of render time, lowers the poly count and fools your eye). Project: the project is itself a little crappy - the bureaucracy here is too strong and you have to accept many compromises: my goal was to give it a mediterranean flair, like many old buildings here.Īll the exterior views were drawn in sketchup. we have snow and palm trees at the some time it is a well known touristic place, where north and south can meet each other. Location: (as said) merano, north of italy, an alpine town with a really mild climate.
